Phizzle Forms Industry Advisory Board; Pharma Industry Thought Leaders to Advise Leader in Automating Scientific Lab Instruments as Market Scales

San Francisco —Feb. 2, 2022— Phizzle, the leader in digitizing and automating multi-vendor scientific lab instruments used in pharmaceutical manufacturing and other clean environments, today announced three industry thought leaders have joined its advisory board.

The advisors include:

  • Lena Wu, Ph.D. is an Independent Director for Matterworks, Inc, developing tools for biomanufacturing. She is the former co-founder and CEO of Intabio, Inc that developed analytical systems for biomanufacturing and was acquired by SCIEX. She was previously the CEO and co-founder of Rogne Biosciences, a biotherapeutic company. Lena has 25+ years of corporate development experience in early stage life science companies. Lena received her Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology from Stanford School of Medicine.
  • Joi True is a seasoned life sciences professional with 25+ years of experience advising and partnering with research, early and late-stage development, commercial, medical affairs, and business development functions at all management levels to identify and resolve issues and meet company goals. Joi received a MBA from U.C. Berkeley in 2008 and a JD from U.C. Berkeley in 1993.
  • Guillermo Ardon is an investor and former senior executive at Johnson & Johnson including serving as Chief Applications Officer & Company Vice President for J&J Enterprise, Group CIO of Supply Chain and Vice President, and CTO and Vice President of Infrastructure Services. Previously, he held the posts of Global Director of IT Operations as well as Director of IT Infrastructure in Asia and South America at Ford Motor Company.  He is a graduate of The University of Arizona.

After a decade in enterprise sales with Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox, Parametric Technology and EMC, Ben left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, following his passion for sports and technology.

Ben co-founded Pixiem in 2003, which was among the first of its kind as a developer and publisher of mobile video games. In 2005, Pixiem was acquired by WinWin Gaming. Ben co-founded Phizzle in 2006 and has led the company through major innovations and technology adaptations from consumer data to IoT machine data while raising $20 million in VC funding.

He is on the IoT Community board of advisors and serves on the IoT Community’s Converged Edge Center of Excellence. Ben is a board member at Elon University, School of Communications; member of the Alliance of Chief Executives; and board member of  Boys Hope Girls Hope. Formerly a professional basketball player in Europe, he currently resides in San Francisco. Ben is a graduate of Walsh University with a BA in Business.
